Interior House Designs - Making A Home
We built our dream home. The house was spacious with high ceilings and large open areas. For our home the next project was to make it feel like a home. We needed to hire a designer who specialized in interior house designs. The home needed paint, wallpaper, and any and all decorating touches that we could come up with. The reason for a designer was because I am not good at selecting paints and wallpaper. I know when I like something but I need to have someone guide me through the process. A blank wall or an empty room overwhelms me. Having a professional help with the interior house designs will mean that each room will have its own life if you will and a designer will know how to tie the whole house together so that it makes sense. I have friends who have homes and the rooms are all so vastly different that there is no flow through the house. Nothing connects or seems to make sense. For our new home I wanted a professional touch. When we met with the designer she was very good at asking all sorts of questions about our likes and dislikes. She asked us what we liked to do for fun in our spare time. What kind of hobbies did we like to do? What did we see as the purpose for various rooms in the home? Was the bonus room a game room, an office, a study, a movie room... She was very good at deciphering our needs and wants and helping us to make the home as functional to our needs as possible.
The designer also wanted us to be attracted to the colors that we selected. The colors had to be inviting and make people want to come into the space. She helped us to choose comfortable furniture and rugs that made you want to take you shoes off. The interior house designs turned out to be really beautiful. Without the designer I do not think that I would have been able to pull the house together. The designer had an approach that helped to simplify the process and made us focus on what we really wanted for our new home. The interior house designs made our house go form an empty shell to a warm and inviting home that anyone would be proud to own. We had our first home that felt like home. |
