Luxury Interior Designs For Less

Luxury Interior

I am one of those people who has champagne tastes on a beer budget. When it comes to my home I love to design a luxury interior for as little money as possible. Each of the rooms in my house has a very distinct theme and color palate. For the furnishings I am usually able to find "knock offs" of much more expensive pieces that I have seen in upscale design magazines. One of the reasons that I am able to decorate for less is because I take the time to do my homework. I find what I like but cannot afford and then I go out and find a piece that looks almost the same but costs a lot less.

For the textures of a space, things like rugs, throw blankets, plants, and fixtures there are numerous second hand shops that sell accessory items for at least half of what I would have paid full price. People change out furniture and if a shopper is smart they will look at thrift stores and second hand stores to see what is available. A luxury interior is achievable if you are smart about it. I have gotten very expensive lamps and artwork at thrift stores for a fraction of their original cost because I have shopped in thrift stores. These items are generally in perfect condition but the previous owner simply changed out their decor and put their things at a thrift shop.

Be smart and be savvy and you will find some wonderful bargains out there. In order to achieve a luxury interior you need to have an eye for style and design not just a big wallet. Luxury is the look and feel of a space and that can be created with creativity not just money. I am always being asked how much I paid for items because they look so luxurious. Generally people are shocked by the price that I actually paid for things. A lot of friends have asked me to do some interior decorating for them because I have taste and I am thrifty. In combination these two traits provide a person with an affordable house of style. A luxury interior is simply a style that can be achieved with some effort and creativity. Take the time to shop around and do not buy the first thing you see. You will find exactly what you are looking for at a price you can live with.
